Course Details
This course is designed to teach you the most efficient way to acquire the dot quickly, everytime you present your pistol. This course will focus on the defensive use of the optic, as many armed citizens are mounting optics on their concealed carry pistols as well as being adopted by police departments and military units. We will also dispel the myths that are out there regarding optics on handguns. We will teach you how to use your optic from bad breath distance all the way out to distances most armed defenders would never dream of taking with iron sights. While not essential, we believe pistol mounted optics are valuable and here to stay, not a fad that will fall away anytime soon.

Topics discussed:

-Proper mounting of plates and optics

-Benefits of direct milling options

-Regular maintenance

-Acquiring the dot at the earliest opportunity on demand with every proper presentation

-Battery failure drills

-Range drills and skills designed to make you more efficient, accurate and faster with pistol mounted optics

-Recoil management

-Unorthodox shooting positions

This means that you must have Cooper's Safety Rules memorized and apply them. Students will need to know how to properly draw from a holster, press triggers, reload, fix stoppages and apply the safety rules to their gun handling skills prior to coming to class. If you haven't trained with us before, email us a copy of your training certificates before you sign up.

Contact us if you have questions regarding this.

-Four magazines or speedloaders and pouches to retain them

-300 rounds of training ammo in the correct caliber for your pistol or revolver
