Kore Essentials X Series Black Leather Gun Belt

While attending the 2025 NRA Annual Meetings and Exhibits in Atlanta, GA. A belt company that had been on my radar, Kore Essentials, was in attendance. While talking to them at their booth, I learned that I could have one for $50. This belt at first seemed to be too light and thin on initial inspection to carry my daily carry items, but I soon learned otherwise. I was unable to crush the 1.5” of width in my bare hands. It passed the standard that everyone should use while inspecting a gun belt: If it crushes in your hands, it will crush under the weight of carrying all your daily items. The belt passed initial inspection so I took them up on their offer.
The belt appears to be a dress belt, but is strong enough to hold and conceal all of your daily carry items. It is a ratcheting belt, so you can adjust it more precisely than that of traditional belts with holes cut in them every inch or so. The problem I have come to find in other company’s belts is the ratcheting systems weaken causing the belt to loosen over time while wearing it. This is not the case with my Kore Essentials belt.
It comes in two sizes, either 24-44 inches or 44-54 inches. The wearer can cut it to their liking or do as I have done, just run the excess through your belt loops in your pants. This belt was worn comfortably every day no matter if I was teaching classes or running errands. I mainly carried mid to full size pistols appendix inside the waistband, but I also carried behind my hip inside the waistband and found that comfortable as well. My standard heavy loadout did not sag or cause my pants to lower from my hips.
After a year of use and abuse, this belt looks nearly as good as the day I got it. The leather still looks good enough to wear while wearing a suit. The buckle is a little scuffed up, but that comes with the territory when shooting from the prone position while in gravel. The ratcheting system is one of the best I have seen. As this belt has been one of the most comfortable belts for me to carry appendix with, it gets my hard-earned recommendation. When you need a nice-looking leather dress belt, while carrying a heavy loadout, Kore Essentials is the answer.
